By day, Jason “Cobra” Stanley is an abusive politician’s son. By night, he’s an MMA fighter. One night he receives a horrible blow to the head. When he wakes up in the hospital, he sees an angel. Lorraine Bosch is a trauma nurse. She loves her job, but she hates the phantom monsters that exist when she leaves the hospital. But she’s a survivor, just like Cobra.
This book started out intense but interesting. I thought I could really get into it. Then a third character was introduced and one of the main characters has intimate scenes with them. This isn’t something I like to read about. It immediately turned me away from the book. If I had been forwarned I might have felt differently, but unfortunately it ruined the book for me.
