Victoria is nineteen and her brother has inherited the Earl of Cheshire ‘s title. Eligible young men were looking at Victoria that hadn’t before. Before her son had become an Earl Victoria’s mother Mable. could not afford to have the kind of ball like tonight’s ball. Mable had been a country doctor’s widow until her station changed through her son. Victoria was Mable’s only daughter and after each event like tonights Victoria and her mother discussed the young men and who was suitable as far as Mable was concerned to marry Victoria. Antonia was Victoria’s best friend , in her latest letter she had told Victoria she wanted to adopt two orphans but had to discuss it with her father. And get the okay. Two days later Victoria and Mable were leaving London to return to Bandenholt End= their home. Victoria loves Issac who was a neighbor and had been a playmate as a child. When Victoria returns  home she receives a wedding invitation to Isaac's and Historia Royce. Last summer Isaac had broken Victoria’s heart when being the son of a Duke Isaac had told Victoria she was too far below him for a match as a country doctor’s daughter. But when she returns and sees Isaac now feelings come back for both Victoria and Isaac.

This was a good romance , a good plot and writing was also good. My heart went out to Victoria will her true love come to be with her in the end ? You’ll have to read this story to find out. I like the characters and love the ins and outs of this story. I recommend.
