Hadley was an artist, she was also the girl that tended to blend into the scenery.Hadley’s dad was a detective. It was two months before graduation and Hadley has already been accepted to start college in the fall for art. Caynan was the new boy in town. He was definitely hot but he was also and thief and eighteen. His father made sure he kept up his secret life or could be very abusive. It had been this way since his mom passed and all they had was each other. Caynan and his dad never stayed in one place long enough to make friends or grow roots. Caynan’s father told him to lay low not to be noticeable yet Caynan felt he shouldn’t have to be stressed all the time. Caynan started taking an interest in Hadley but she didn’t want to react to him as she felt she would just get hurt. But he had dubbed her with a nickname which was “Feisty”, he also brought her ice coffee to class one day when she didn’t have time to wait. Soon Caynan’s persistence started to wear Hadley down. Caynan thought of leaving his dad but what would happen to him or his dad both all alone? Also Caynan had no real identification he felt trapped. Caynan had a deep unexplainable need for Hadley to like him as time passes Hadley finds a deep connection between her and Caynan.
I liked this story a lot but at times it dragged for me and had problems keeping my attention but not enough for me not to finish. Very unusual plot if I say so myself but a good one. I really enjoyed the interaction between Hadley and Caynan and how thoughtful he could be . All and all a very good story, Characters were really good also.Especially Hadley and Caynan and all the twists and turns they go through. I recommend.
I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.
