Great Anthology

Elite Ghosts: Six-Novel Cohesive Military Romance Boxed Set (Elite Warriors) (Volume 2) - Jennifer Kacey, Heather Long, Sabrina York, Anna Alexander, Saranna DeWylde, Rebecca Royce

Target Tungsten - Heather Long - 1 Star

Bradley “Tungsten” Peck has been a ghost for 4 years. When his team was on a mission and the building they had been in was blown up, his commander decided to keep them dead, even though most of them survived. Tungsten has been ghost stalking his girl over the years, even as she was forced to move on. He’s had to watch Copper meet and fall in love with Gabriel. Now they’ve finally been allowed to be revealed and he refuses to stay dead in her life.

This story didn’t work for me. I didn’t like the rushed agreement of sharing Copper. I didn’t get Tungsten’s determination to go after a woman that he doesn’t believe ever loved him. I certainly couldn’t figure out why Gabriel agreed to everything so quickly.

Zincs Heart - Rebecca Royce - 5 Stars

Sarah has been on a mission to find out what happened to her brother and his best friend Zach. They had been killed four years before on a mission. When she is kidnapped while investigating, she can’t believe it when it’s Zach (Zinc) that saves her. Now she’s determined to make him see all of the feelings she’s held since they were kids.

I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for the best friend’s sibling angle. This was my favorite story in the anthology. I just barrelled through it.  It flowed really well. The author showed how Zach is still suffering from the effects of what should’ve killed them. She also gave a nice change in dynamics in the bedroom scenes:)

Lithium s Rescue - Sabrina York - 4 Stars

Ben (Lithium) was sent to pick up a potential witness. When he got to her apartment, he found her being attacked. After getting Michelle out safely, he’s determined to protect her until he can safely get her to his people.

This story was pretty good. There were some quirks to it I didn’t really care for, but overall good story and continuation to the rest of the books in the anthology.

I find I'm really liking anthologies that take either have an ongoing plot or take place in the same area. At this point I haven’t read the last two stories, but just from the ones I read, I would recommend for anyone that likes this genre.
