Ricky Lee Reed is a wolf originally from Tennessee who had moved to New York City with his siblings. He is still pure Southerner as he just flows through his days when he's not working at a security company with his brothers. After a day of continually running into Toni Jean-Louise Parker, he decided it was time to get to know the beautiful jackal while she struggles to get a little bit of freedom from constantly taking care of her brilliant siblings' lives.
This author has a way with writing her characters that are funny and lovable. With this book, you can literally hear Ricky Lee and his siblings speak in a slow Southern drawl. Rather than make her books about Alpha Shifters with serious plot, she keeps a lot of traits one might have if they were a bit animal, which makes for a pretty funny book, great stories and great characters.
Overall, I loved the book and highly recommend it.
