**I received an ARC of this story for an honest review**

This story starts at the end of the worst day in Kara's life. Struck by tragedy and then betrayal, Kara stumbles in the road where Luke, literally, runs into her. Luke has known and been in love with Kara his entire life, so when she's hit, he does what he can to save her the only way he knows how.

This was the first story I've read from this author, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Right from the beginning, the author had me. I could totally feel Luke's wanting Kara and wanting to be with her, even as she's pushing him away. I also felt that Kara was very well written. The emotions she was going through made me really feel for her. I didn't feel that the story was rushed, but very well paced. I can't wait to read more from this author.
