Mary Elizabeth Waters is as wild as her beloved Highlands. However, her mother is determined that she must marry and has sent her to London to find a husband, which makes Mary Elizabeth want to run and hide in the Highlands. When she meets a man who she believes works in the stables, she thinks she’s finally found a man she likes. Turns out he’s the duke her mother wants her to marry.

I didn’t really expect to care much for this book. While I love highlander books, they tend to be very similar. However, I was very pleasantly surprised at it. I absolutely loved both main characters and loved following Mary Elizabeth throughout the story. It was a pretty quick read with some funny moments. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend.
