Valan Playboys - Scarlett Dawn

Lana had drank a lot of whiskey and was standing on the dance floor all by herself as everyone else was unconscious. Except for a group in the VIP section and two bartenders and the DJ were also awake. After a bit the onlookers started toward Lana. Lana knew she should not have went to that bar it was new and Lana usually went to bars that weren’t new. Then the onlookers circled around Lana there was about fifty to one. Lana offered to leave Then a man from the group asked Lana what she was doing at the bar and she said dancing. He asked Lana if she was from outta town Lana said no but said if he let her go he would never see her again. The guy introduced himself as Renner and told Lana he wouldn’t hurt her and he owned the club. Renner asked Lana what faction she was from and she told Renner he was crazy and asked Renner what he was talking about. Renner called and asked for Callie to be contacted to come to the club. Renner told Lana  if she wanted answers to stay as she felt something when they touched. Then three women entered the club and were talking to Renner. Callie then approached Lana  and asked if Lana knew what she was, Callie asked Lana what her name was and what her deceased parents names were. Lana refused to answer . Lana did admit her parents weren’t like her as Lana could control lightning. Then Lana didn’t feel so alone and almost cried but Callie told her not to cry there in front of the demons and vampires. Lana knew she wasn’t human . But now she knew that she was a Valkyrie and there were a lot more than just her. Callie tutored Lana for three months on all she needed to know about herself. There was eight factions- four factions for men, four factions for women. When a Valon made a vow it was unbreakable.

I liked what there was of this story but it was just too short. This doesn’t end as a cliffhanger but you want more to the story. I felt the story was also became predictable as it went on . So as far as I am concerned it had the makings of a really good story if it had only went on.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.
